2024 NRL SIGNINGS: Roosters,Storm,Dragons,Cowboys,Dolphins,Panthers,Warriors,Penrith Panthers,Bulldogs,Cronulla

The Roosters have re-signed Lindsay Collins.

Collins is already contracted with the team through the end of 2026, and this two-year extension guarantees that he will play for the Roosters at least through the end of 2028.

I count it a huge privilege to wear the Sydney Roosters jersey and represent this outstanding team. I’m proud to know that I will be a Rooster for at least the next four years since we have a terrific team here and I enjoy coming to work every day, Collins said.

Since joining the club in 2017 and making his NRL debut, Collins, 27, has played in 94 first grade games. He has established himself as one of the league’s most powerful front-rowers and a representative of both his state (Queensland) and nation (Australia).

Nick Meaney has rejoined the Storm

Nick Meaney has signed a new contract that will keep him with the Melbourne Storm through the end of the 2026 season, at the latest.<~\ In order to make room for Ryan Papenhuyzen’s comeback, the adaptable former Dogs standout switched to center field last year and did a fantastic job filling in at fullback.

After the two-year deal was announced, Meaney stated that moving to Melbourne had been a terrific decision for his profession and for life in general.

The announcement that Nick has decided to stay on with our club is very appreciated, stated Frank Ponissi, General Manager of Football at Melbourne.

Not only does he play a multitude of positions with amazing versatility, but even more amazingly, since making his club debut in Round 1, 2022, he has been one of our most dependable and consistent players.

With Dragons, Francis Molo resigns.

The 29-year-old Francis Molo will remain with the team through the end of the 2026 campaign according to a two-year contract extension he signed.

Because of his commitment to our team’s direction, Francis is well-deserving of this extension, according to Shane Flanagan.

As we continue to bolster the roster in the upcoming months, I see him playing a significant position in our front pack.

Cowboys re-sign Sam McIntyre.

With the signing of his contract extension, Sam McIntyre will remain in Townsville through at least the end of the 2026 campaign.

Although he signed with the Cowboys in the middle of the previous season, the 26-year-old found it difficult to become a regular until this season.

The club’s general manager of football, Michael Luck, stated that Sam came to the club seeking an opportunity and has pleased everyone in the building with his professionalism, work ethic, and on-field accomplishments both at the Queensland Cup level and now in the NRL.

Dolphins re-sign Isaiya Katoa.

The Tongan international Isaiya Katoa has re-signed with the Dolphins for three more years, meaning he will be with the team through at least the conclusion of the 2028 season.

Since leaving Penrith, the 20-year-old has participated in more than 20 games for Wayne Bennett’s team.

He was added back into the team and assisted in leading the Dolphins to their first victory over the Dragons in the second round after missing out on selection for the team’s season opener this season.

Taylan May and the Panthers sign a new contract.

Penrith has revealed that Taylan May has also recommitted to the team, after the revelation of fellow center Izack Tago signing an extension.

After accepting a two-year deal, the 22-year-old stated, This game is home. This team and the Panthers jersey represent a lot to me. I’m proud to stay here for another couple years.

May, who made his debut in 2021, has become a mainstay in Ivan Cleary’s all-conquering squad, having played both in the centers and on the wing in the past.

Warriors sign two young players to two-year contracts again.

Luke Metcalf, the playmaker for the New Zealand Warriors, signs a contract extension.

The New Zealand Warriors have extended the contract of five-eighth Luke Metcalf in recognition of his outstanding performances.

When the acquisition was announced, the club’s general manager, Andrew McFadden, stated, “We recognized Luke quite a while ago as a player of tremendous potential.

From our initial discussions with him till now, he has always impressed us with his maturity and commitment to support all that the One New Zealand Warriors is attempting to establish.

Metcalf struggled to make an impression in the first grade while at Cronulla until joining the Warriors in 2023.

The playmaker made his NRL debut in 2021 and only appeared in seven games for the Sharks in a two-year span.

Despite dealing with hamstring problems during his 12 games for the Warriors last season, Metcalf made an impression and was recently granted a two-year contract extension, keeping him with the team through at least the end of the 2026 campaign.

Metcalf stated, “I’m really excited to extend.”

I do not intend to travel elsewhere.

I truly couldn’t be happier in New Zealand or at the Warriors. It was an obvious choice because my partner adores it and we are working on a unique building.

Late in the season, Metcalf took Shaun Johnson’s place due to injury, giving him his first taste of NRL action with the Sharks.

Since then, the two have established a strong rapport in the half-space, with Metcalf’s sprinting skills complementing Johnson’s control and accurate kicking style.

Shaun Johnson is my teammate today, and I grew up idolizing him—it’s unbelievable, Metcalf remarked.

 

Apart from that, Luke is just the kind of person we want at the club, and we can’t wait for him to pick up skills and knowledge from our staff as well as the more experienced players in his immediate vicinity.

Metcalf’s return to the team follows the club’s decision to secure Freddy Lussick’s future, as the hooker signed a two-year agreement.

Izack Tago, one of the highest-paid centers in the NRL, inks an extension with the Penrith Panthers.

Izack Tago, one of the Penrith Panthers’ main emerging talents, has signed a new contract.

With a three-year deal signed, the 21-year-old will remain at the base of the mountains till at least the end of the 2028 campaign.

With a $750,000 season contract, Tago will be among the most paid centers in the league, according to WWOS.

Before securing a position in the centers for the upcoming season, Tago made his Panthers first-grade debut in 2021.

Due to a pectoral injury, he missed a significant portion of the 2023 season. However, he made a comeback in the latter part of the season and played a part in Penrith’s grand final victory.

Despite his advanced age, Tago has established himself as one of the league’s most captivating centers by frequently utilizing his strength and speed to steal the show in games.

The club’s general manager, Shane Elford, expressed his excitement at another local junior pledging his long-term future to the team and his expectation that he will play for the Panthers until at least the conclusion of the 2028 season.

Izack’s development is just another excellent illustration of our club’s motto, “build from within.” Having gone through our junior development program, he is now playing at the highest level for his country.

His decision to re-sign with the Panthers is a wonderful indication of his dedication to the team.

Tago, who had a 2025 contract with the team, expressed his happiness to be rejoining the group that had already produced two premierships.

Tago declared, “I’m overjoyed to re-sign with the club.”

It’s fantastic to obtain my future at my home club for an additional few years, even though I was previously signed here for a few years.

I’m happy to stay here as long as I can because the majority of the squad consists of young Panthers, and we all have a particular bond.

Tago will host Parramatta at home on Friday to commemorate reaching his 50-game milestone in the NRL.

The Bulldogs welcome Zane Tetevano.

The announcement was made by Canterbury that veteran Zane Tetevano has signed a one-year contract.

Dogs captain Phil Gould said of Zane, “He is a highly valued veteran player who will bring experience and a diligent work ethic to our group.”

The forward joined the Sydney Roosters in 2011 after making his NRL debut, and in 2018 he won a premiership.

The 33-year-old made his NRL debut for Penrith before to being released to play for Leeds in the prestigious Super League, where he worked as a trader until the Dogs called.

With Cronulla, Tuku Hau Tapuha resigns.

On the eve of the new season, Cronulla confirmed the one-year extension of prop Tuku Hau Tapuha.

After working together in Bondi previously, coach Craig Fitzgibbon views the 22-year-old, who arrived from the Roosters last year, as a long-term prospect.

Hau Tapuha expressed his happiness at being able to return to this club for the upcoming year.

This year is exciting for me, since it’s a big year for the squad as a whole, and I’m looking forward to the challenge.
